Here's what some of our members say:
"Judaism is about a lot of things for me. It’s about Shabbat, it’s about Fiddler On the Roof, it’s about my Yiddish speaking grandmother. But Workmen’s Circle is at the heart of it all in some ways. It creates a structure. It’s a real place.

There are a lot of organizations doing political organizing, but I think we’re working on something different here in terms of talking about it as a community. It really struck home for me when we had the Shabbat dinner for gay and lesbian marriage.

I think kids, especially in the early teens, are really trying to identify themselves
with religion or something that is easy to belong to.…
. The community aspect of religion becomes very important. I think that the Workmen’s Circle offered me that, so I didn’t feel the need to go anywhere else.
